Hello there,This morning I had some strange issue with my MacBook. This is the first time I meet something like this. I'm doing some coding or browsing the web while, with no interaction, Chrome automatically opens up a new tab which leads to some ads. I really think it could be a malware or something like that, but I really never had a problem like this on OS X.Can you point me out somewhere? I don't know if there are any tools I can use. Here's my setup: MacBook Pro (Retina, 13', mid-2014), OS X El Capitan 10.11.6.Thank you all!.
My IE opens on its own at random times somtimes opening a window to luxe-software.net and netlists.com neither of which I have ever been to or heard of until now. Also at random times through the speakers I will heard ads for vaseline mens lotion, charmin bath tissue, outdoor life and 10 second spurts of talk or radio shows.I can check my task manager at eanytime and it always shows at least one instance of IE running even if there is not a window open.I don't know what to do. Please advise.Best Regards,Diana. Hi,I came across your other message where you said malware was in play so it would be prudent to makeabsolutely sure that it is all detected and removed. Better to overkill the process now than be sorry later. These can be done in Safe Mode - repeatedly tap F8 as you boot however you should also run them inregular Windows when you can.Download malwarebytes and scan with it, run MRT, and add Prevx to be sure it is gone.
